A very dear friend shared a link to fabric and yearn shop Purl Soho a few days ago. Since then I cannot stop browsing their site and blog where they teach how to create beautiful personal accessories for the home. Here is a sample of my favourite projects (which I will probably never realize, but one can always dream): 1) Felted Wool Patchwork Quillow; 2) New Years Garland; 3) Hawaiian Style Felt Floor Pillows

We're just back from the parents-in-law in Italy - a good occasion to blog on Italian LAGO's customizable wardrobes! They can either be formatted to disappear into the design of the room or to make a statement and be a bold piece of art.

I've been away a few days to see my sister in UK. Design is on the edge on this island but who would have thought that, in Haywards Health (a small town in West Sussex) I will stumble upon one of the coolest designed bars.  One wall is covered with pictures from magazines; fixtures, fittings, furniture in a sophisticated mix of industrial, vintage and contemporary styles; even the ceiling has stunning black tiles. I wish I had my camera as taking pictures with my Iphone in the dark does not give all the credit. But keep an eye on their own site as pictures will be published soon (idlewildbarandkitchen.co.uk).

My husband received "Le Larousse du Chocolat" for his birthday and I fell for one of the recipes in the book. It was the "Dacquoise au chocolat et aux noisette". I am not a kitchen godess but this cake is a little heaven on earth for nut and chocolate lovers...

This interior is from one of my favourite blogs from Sweden: Vintage. A mixture of modern and old. I wish there were more places in Geneva selling cool and cheap vintage furniture. I will try to hunt down some places and let you know.

This blog will be about life and style, design, art and whatever comes to mind. John Galbraith once said: "There is certainly no absolute standard of beauty. That precisely is what makes its pursuit so interesting."
Above is the view from my bedroom - lucky to admire nature's simple beauty every day.
